Description

The City of Arts and Sciences is a cultural entertainment centre located in Valencia, Spain. It was planned by the Spanish architects Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela. The architectural complex is situated along almost two kilometres of what was formerly the bed of the River Turia and has a surface area of 350,000 square metres. The finished "city" was inaugurated April 16, 1998 with the opening of L'Hemisfèric, that you can see on the left of the photograph.

WOW! It looks great! I'm going to visit Spain next year, so I'm looking for some useful information and places to visit. I've already read a Lonely Planet Spain travel guide. I should say, it helped me a lot. But your beautiful photo and post persuaded me visiting Valencia. Thanks!
